Feathered Flower

I picked up a new (old) lens at Goodwill the other day. It’s a Minolta 28-85 f/3.5-4.5 lens with a macro switch. It’s a neat little lens, and it’s very heavy (a few ounces shy of the 70-210 “Beercan”)! The macro is a paltry .25x, but it has nice colors, nonetheless.

Wren de Carolina

We have a ton of these little guys here in NC (rather obvious, I suppose), and they certainly let us know! They make a lot of racket for such tiny packages.

On a related note, I love having the capability to crop an image by over half and be left with an photo that’s over 10 megapixels!

Mega Bokeh

In case you can’t tell, I’m just a little enamored by the plumb tree blossoms in my backyard. The effect produced by closing down the aperture all the way with a macro filter attached is pretty neat.
