We had some really feisty hummers this last year. They didn’t like us walking out of the back door and past their feeder!
Baby birds really do have faces only a mother could love.
I was fine with this little guy until he decided to make a home in my drink mug. That’s unacceptable.
Note: If anyone knows what this is, I’d love for you to share that knowledge! From the eye placement, I’ve narrowed it down to either Family Araneidae or Family Tetragnathidae, genus Tetragnatha.
My father and I hiked up a local mountain yesterday and spent the night for father’s day; a storm blew up about 4am, but it was all good! I had fun, and I’m glad to have spent the day with my dad.
For the record, I wasn’t the one actually twirling, just the camera.
The neighborhood birds were not happy.

My grandparents’ house has a large wheat field right next door. These flowers are nestled in with the wheat around the borders of the field.
