Mega Bokeh

In case you can’t tell, I’m just a little enamored by the plumb tree blossoms in my backyard. The effect produced by closing down the aperture all the way with a macro filter attached is pretty neat.

Wicked Blossoms

I was always amused by the use of the term “wicked” as a synonym of awesome or sweet. So this is a tribute to any New Englanders who might see this.

This is the plumb tree in our back yard; it’s finally beginning to show some life after the winter months!

Roses are Reddish

Did you know that you can tonemap single images in Photomatix? It’s a pretty neat function. This image I actually took a while back with my father’s Canon Rebel, which has since been stolen. That’s why I use a Sony now!


Liquid Sunshine

Even though the weather was less-than-friendly for photography, yesterday, these little guys were sitting there, letting the rain bead up and decorate their stems. Perhaps the sun was shining!
